Monika Duždová completed her secondary education as an adult and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the ISM Slovakia University of International Business in Prešov. She got her master's degree from the St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Work in Prešov. She worked as a teaching assistant in Prešov for several years, lived in England, and now works as a specialist advisor at the Counselling and Education Department of the Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family in Prešov.
Her short story “Ačhuv Devleha, abo av manca...?” / “Either Stay with God, or come with me...?” was published in O mulo! Povídky o duchách zemřelých (Look, A Ghost! Stories About the Ghosts of the Dead, Kher, 2019). Her short story “Kerava tiro suno džido” /” I Will Make Your Dream Come True” was published in the anthology Amare ternenge – Romani writers write for young people (Nová škola 2020). In the anthology Fameľija nadevše (Family Above All Else, Slovo 21, 2024) she published the story “Ta žena už nikomu nevěří” / “This Woman Doesn’t Trust Anyone Anymore” and the story “Prázdne lono” / “The Empty Womb! came out in Podvázané mašličkami (Tubes Tied With Ribbons, Slovo 21, 2025).
